Benoît Menut (born in 1977) La Fontaine de musique, after Jean de La Fontaine (CREATION).

We know The Cicada and the Ant, The Raven and the Fox, The Fox and the Raisins … and less The Bird wounded by an arrow, or the Word of Socrates … This common heritage is always a source of reinterpretations, of music and of lessons. Benoit Menut offers, through such fables, set to music and commented by the drawings of Benjamin Rabier, to have us go between seriousness and laughter, imaginary and real. Through the fables, the public is invited to participate, sing, create rhythm, or space for sound, like a fountain of words and sounds flowing naturally.

Pierre Chépélov (born in 1979), L’Album farfelu de Mr Lear (CREATION)

A show conceived and set to music by Pierre Chépélov, bringing together short stories and poems of writer and draftsman Edward Lear (1812-1888), master of the British nonsense. Associated with the projections of the author’s cartoons, this journey invites young and old to walk from one miniature to another and to discover, in music and songs, the eccentric adventures of animals, objects, and even alphabets …

To irrigate the musical venues, to go towards the public, to take it by the hand, to be a surprise, and to share — such is the Autour du Ventoux creed.
